David VanNorman grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky where his father was the founding pastor of the First Church of God. He graduated from Anderson University with a Bible major. He earned his Master of Divinity from the Anderson School of Theology. Additional post-graduate work was done at Asbury Theological Seminary. He also was also involved in the Seminary Scholar's Program at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Columbia, SC. He began his ministry as an Associate Pastor in Lebanon, Indiana. Other ministry assignments were in Mt. Sterling, KY; Columbia, SC; New Boston, OH; Lynchburg, VA; Decatur, AL; St. Louis, MI; Midland, MI; and since 1995 in Saginaw, MI at the First Church of God. He is married to Brenda. Their son Jeremy is an automotive engineer for Chrysler Corporation. He has been a radio announcer for a southern gospel station in Decatur, AL and at Family Life Radio in Midland, MI. He has served on the pastoral team of the Lutheran Via de Cristo leadership development ministry. He currently works as a substitute teacher from kindergarten through high school.
